Sixxfoota Clothing

We love how this black-owned business phrases those who tower above the rest of us: ‘men and women of lengthy proportions’. Men and women who indeed know the frustrations of seeing items of clothing that look great on the hanger, only to pick them up, hold them against their body, and realize they end a few inches too short to be socially acceptable. And while people like Wendy Williams may have the patience and the means to do things such as buy two sweaters in order to lengthen the sleeve on one, a more realistic solution is needed. Sixxfoota has been around for 4 years now, and was started by a woman of– you guessed it– six feet, who had grown frustrated with the challenges of finding clothes that actually fit. The brand focuses on lush fabrics-leathers, suedes, furs and some wool-that give tall men and women luxurious options that are in short supply. There are some practical pieces, like the women’s wool pant, that can be dressed up or dressed down, and the less practical (but completely delicious) men’s leather trench coat. And then there are the items that the less lengthy-proportioned of us wish were made for us as well, like the double-breasted Drama Queen wool coat. Ah well, we can’t all have what we want. Visit Sixxfoota for more information.
