Mikala Furniture

Its about time your interior décor grew up. Don’t you think? Toss out the Ikea, the Target and whatever else you’ve amassed along the way, then bring in some pieces that you’ll want to keep. And while you do so, you may as well BupGrade Your Support of a Black-owned business. Especially when renowned interior designer Cecil Hayes’ work is up for grabs. Hailed as one of the top 10 architects in the world, Hayes’ creations-under the Mikala Furniture line– draw upon African heritage for inspiration, culminating in the creation of a body of furniture that is worthy of the many awards it has won. We love how her designs inject modern sensibility and ethnic charm to our rooms without overwhelming our existing aesthetic. Take the Post Back Dining Chair, for example. It classes up an otherwise boring table, and adds excitement to a room without a major overhaul. And on the more abstract side, we love accents like the Venus table, a mixed media creation to replace that boring piece that’s currently sitting in your living room. But be forewarned: these designs don’t come cheap. But you’re grown-you knew that. Visit Mikala for more information.
