Mondrian Miami

October 20th, 2008

The Mondrian is no ordinary hotel.  And this is no ordinary deal.  We all know that nothing in life is free, but some things are so cheap (relatively speaking) that it doesn’t make sense.  Like your luxury getaway to what is sure to be one of Miami’s most swaggerific hotels for years to come.  The Mondrian is a luxury boutique hotel with locations in Los Angeles and Scottsdale.  The owners are the same people behind the Shore Club and the Delano, but don’t worry, the Mondrian is much more sophisticated than the former, and considerably more luxurious than the latter.  Its  Biscayne Bay location is slightly off the beaten path, but its close enough to Ocean Drive and Lincoln Road to allow you to feel like you’re a part of the action.  We happen to think you’ll be kept too busy with the futuristic Agua Spa, hammock and pillow lined plunge pool and delicious eats at Asia to Cuba to notice, but lest you should fret, hedonism is just minutes away.  So, about this deal: If you book by Friday, you can reserve a studio for $195, as long as you stay before February 28th (of course, blackout dates apply) but after November 18th– thats because the Mondrian is so new, its not yet open.  Your $195 room will be outfitted with a kitchen, Bose sound dock, 42 inch plasma TV and a view of Biscayne Bay.  We’re there, especially since we may not be once rates return to their normal level-which, by the way, make this room at least $500.  Ouch. Visit Mondrian Miami for more information, and to book.
