Kayu Sunglasses

November 20th, 2008

Accessories make your outfit go round.  Especially when they’re not the cookie-cutter items that adorn any other trend-follower’s body.  Winter is upon us, the days are shorter and the sun less frequent, but none of the aforementioned are any reason to stop wearing sunglasses.  But please, if you buy these, don’t violate your dignity by wearing these where and when the sun don’t shine.  Kayu sunglasses are retro, quirky and green.  They also happen to BupGrade your people as the same time that they BupGrade your closet, which makes them a winner in our book.  Oversize in way that is reminiscent of Jackie O (the first lady, not the rapper) and clean in way that makes us hum “ain’t nobody dope as me . . .”, these are our latest must-have.   Kayu’s bamboo sunglasses are handcrafted by artisans, and are currently offered in light yellow, but more colors will be released by year’s end.  You may wince a bit at the price tag– though face it, you’d pay 2X more for your Tom Fords without thinking twice, but consider this:  83% of blindness is curable, but most people remain sightless due to lack of funds.  Well, upon your purchase, Kayu will donate $50 to Unite for Sight, a charity that sponsors sight-reversing surgeries in Ghana and India.  We know its better to give than receive, but we just did both.  Visit Kayu for more information.
