We know you want to give to charity.  Really, you do.  You’d just rather shop (don’t worry, sometimes, so would we).  It’s okay—we’ll outgrow it.  In the meanwhile, we’ve found a way for you to do both at once.  At iGive.com, you have the opportunity to shop your heart out and simultaneously give up to 26% of your spending to your favorite charity.  The percentages vary, and while it’d probably be much more effective to just write a check, there’s really no need to give all your hard-earned money to the stores while you’re shopping.  Currently, iGive.com has relationships with over 700 merchants, including Bose, Gap, BlueFly, Apple iTunes, Nordstrom and Bloomingdale’s.  Over 30,000 causes are registered on the site, and the best part is, you can register any cause you’d like to give to—your fraternity, your school, the homeless shelter you volunteer at, your niece’s cheerleading squad, or whatever else tickles your fancy.  iGive.com keeps track of how much money you’re spending and giving, and then sends monthly checks to each organization.  Contributions are tax deductible, shopping is fun, and giving is good.  Need we say more?  Visit iGive for more information.
