Election Day Freebies & Parties
November 4th, 2008
We can’t believe that Election Day is finally here. Please make the time to vote, no matter how long the line or how busy you are. And please excuse how loose we might be by the time the election results are announced. In the sprit of celebration, we want to share an invitation to what we think will be a fitting end to the election season: MTV, Rock The Vote, Kevin Powell, Buzz International Group and Complex Media are combining forces to throw an Election Night Party at Element in New York City. Two floors. Wide screen TVs. Cash bars. Cool peoples. And music by DJ Beverly Bond. But even if you aren’t in the Big Apple, can’t make it to an election party, or prefer to watch the results in a more intimate setting, there are plenty of rewards for casting your vote. Stop by Krispy Kreme for free donuts (with proof of vote), Ben & Jerry’s for free ice cream (from 5 - 8 pm), Starbucks for free coffee (with a ballot stub or ‘I voted’ sticker), and Chick-Fil-A for a free chicken sandwich (participating stores only). Quite a bit of consumption, but we’re hoping that we’ll need it to sustain our victory dance. Lastly, don’t think that political prowess and bedroom swag have to be mutually exclusive: Babeland (yes, the sex toy shop) is offering a free silver bullet for the ladies and maverick sleeve for the fellas in return for your patriotism. To attend Complex election night party, RSVP via rsvp@buzzig.com or call 212.360.0399.
