Creative Recreation Cesario Lo

November 10th, 2008

Sneakers aren’t for every gal.  And we must temper this entry with that to avoid the awkwardness that is people trying to rock a trend that doesn’t work for them.  But oh, the girl who can pull of a fly pair and make the heels-only crowd regret the blisters and bunions.  Well, we encourage her to rock these, for a few reasons.  One, we love the color: we’re still riding the Obama high, have Jeezy’s “My President” on repeat, and love the afro-centric colors of the shoe.  Two? The texture.  Mesh, leather, patent leather, oh my.  And lastly, the envy factor.  If you can pull these off, you might as well tape a “Hi Haters” sign to your hand and wave as you walk down the street.  We think its time to BupGrade your shoe game, and this is a way to do it with the unexpected.  When we saw these, they caught our peripheral vision off guard.  We abandoned our original mission, approached them and knew they had to be ours.  Creative Recreation makes them for men too, but like skinny jeans, we think these are best kept in the women’s corner.  Available at Nordstrom and other retailers that carry Creative Recreation.
