Okay, so we weren’t the biggest fans of Benjamin Bixby, Andre Benjamin’s fashion line that launched this fall season.  But on second look, we think there are some items you might want to grab, especially since its time to embrace your inner recessionisto, and Barneys is having quite the sale to help you do so.  Benjamin Bixby is timeless, gentlemanly and polished, but its also a little too logoed for its own good.  Unless of course, for some reason you think its cool to scream the brand you’re wearing for all of the world to see: we don’t.  However, for the pieces in which he could resist the branding, we must say, at 40% off, we like what we see.  There are plenty of ways to distinguish yourself: camel cotton trousers, a navy corduroy sports jacket, white suspenders, or our favorite combination: a dark green felt vest with a wool camel bow tie thrown on top.  There is even a murse (man purse) for those of you who dare, but trust us, we don’t think you should.  We’re hoping Benjamin Bixby’s upcoming lines will be a bit more refined, but in the event that they’re not, you may have just bought a collector’s item.  Benjamin Bixby available at Barneys.com
