BandShades

Now that we’re adults, band-aids are so unsightly.  But so necessary as well.  So what are we to do? There is something unsettling about having a band-aid that doesn’t at all match our skin tone wrapped around our finger. And we have to admit, we feel a tinge of jealousy when we see a kid sporting a Sponge Bob or Dora The Explorer Band-aid, looking at it happily and knowing that their cut is covered with something that not only makes them smile, but also makes them cool.  But why should children have all the fun? And why must we be held hostage by that one flesh-toned band-aid color, a throwback to having to come to grips with the “skin” colored crayon that didn’t look anything like the skin of the hand that gripped it?  But we digress.  While we’re not running around the playground skinning our knees anymore, we do get an occasional paper cut, scratch or other minor injury, and we cringe every time we place a peach colored piece of adhesive on our cocoa-brown skin.  That is, we did, until we got a pack of Band Shades, which are really just band-aids, but in shades that match our (and your) skin.  They come in five different colors, from the lightest, Honey, to the darkest, Mocha.  The adhesive is clear, so essentially, you’ll see nothing but the skin you were blessed with.  Now we can finally cover our wounds inconspicuously.  What a novel concept.
